GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS
1. FACILITIES:
 HelloBCN Hostel offers facilities specially designed for the comfort of our guests. In our hostel you will find the ideal environment for travelers, to make new friends and enjoy unforgettable moments in Barcelona. We welcome you!
1.2 Terms and Conditions
Luggage storage:
  We offer a luggage storage service. This service is available to guests on the day of arrival and until 18:00 on the day of departure.
Free Internet:
 We offer free Internet access. This service operates 24 hours a day and the password is available at the hostel reception.
Security and control:
  Upon arrival, you will be given the key to access the main entrance of the hostel, your room and the locker corresponding to your room. On the other hand, we inform you that, for your safety, we have security cameras.

Facilities and services:  We offer facilities prepared so that you can fully enjoy all our services and have a pleasant and quality stay.
Animals: 
 Pets are not allowed.
Best Atmosphere:
 We have a fun and welcoming atmosphere, as well as a very international one. Our guests come from all over the world and are usually interesting and friendly people. They generally enjoy all the best we have to offer, which is why we always share good conversations and unforgettable moments.

2. CONDITIONS OF ACCESS TO OUR FACILITIES
2.1 Check-in and Check-out times:
 Check-in: from 14:00 hours. A photo ID (European citizens) or a passport will be required at check-in. The residential address of each client will also be required. Reception is open 24 hours. Check-out: before 11:00 hours. If you wish to leave the city later, you are more than welcome to use the common areas of the hostel during that day. In addition, we have a luggage storage service until 18:00 in the evening. Ask at reception about storage options if you need to store luggage after this time.

2.2 Deposit (Bond):  We do not ask for a deposit upon delivery of the key to access the hostel. However, in case of loss of the key, reception must be notified immediately so that the old key can be canceled and a new one programmed. New keys cost 10 euros.

2.3 Shared stay: By booking a bed in a dormitory, you agree to share the room with other people. If you do not wish to share with anyone, you will have to pay for all unoccupied beds or book a private room. Minors under 18 years of age:  Minors under 18 years of age cannot stay at HelloBCN Hostel if they are traveling alone. For the protection and comfort of minors and other guests, minors under 18 years of age who are accompanied by an adult may not under any circumstances share a dormitory with other guests, and it is mandatory to book an entire dormitory or private room.

2.4 Taxes and/or tourist tax:  The tourist tax is levied on overnight stays of residents and foreigners in tourist accommodation and hotels in the city. HelloBCN Hostel, in accordance with Barcelona regulations, collects this amount for payment to the administration. The details of the tax are described below.

2.4.1 Tourist tax:  Tourist tax not included in the price of the reservation. The amount is calculated per person per night, up to a maximum of 7 days. People of the same age or under 16 years of age, stays for reasons of force majeure or health reasons and travelers enrolled in programs subsidized by the Public Administration (such as Imserso) are exempt from paying this tourist tax. It will be necessary to present a document proving the medical reason.

2.5 Departure time: On the day of departure/check-out, guests have until 11:00 to leave the room. Otherwise, HelloBCN Hostel reserves the right to charge one more night. If on the day of check-out you wish to leave your luggage at the hostel, you may do so and continue to use the common areas of the establishment until 18:00 on that day at the latest. 

2.6 Admission rights: We work for the well-being of all guests and staff, bearing in mind that our main objective is to offer a comfortable and pleasant environment for everyone. It is part of our policy to maintain respect and good relations with guests and staff alike. We believe that mutual respect is vital to the experiences generated at HelloBCN Hostel and is essential to providing exceptional service. This is the secret to a healthy environment and a pleasant stay for all. Therefore, we inform you that we reserve the right to refuse admission and to refuse the provision of service and/or request that a guest, in the event of inappropriate or unacceptable behavior, leave the establishment at our discretion if necessary.   

3. RATE POLICIES HelloBCN Hostel – Individual Reservations (up to 10 people maximum)

3.1 Non-refundable rate: By selecting the non-refundable rate, a  10% discount may be applied to the flexible price. By choosing the NON-REFUNDABLE RATE, the client loses the right to cancel the reservation, either in part or in full. The total price of the reservation must be paid in advance. At the time of booking, the system charges the first night and subsequently the accommodation will charge the remaining amount to the credit card provided.

3.2 Flexible rate:  The flexible rate is the original price without any discount applied. When making a reservation with the flexible rate, clients must pay a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit equivalent to the first night of the stay at the time of booking confirmation. By choosing the flexible rate, the client has the right to cancel (without refund of the deposit), or modify their reservation up to 48 hours before the arrival date (subject to availability and price variation).

3.4 Reservation management and arrival time: If you wish to change your arrival time, please send us an email or contact us directly. It is important that you inform us of any changes to your reservation. All modification requests are subject to availability and may result in price changes. Please also check the exact times of your reservation, as our reservation system uses a 24-hour clock.     

4. CANCELLATION POLICIES FOR INDIVIDUAL RESERVATIONS – (up to 10 people maximum)

4.1 Cancellation policy:  Please note that cancellations are accepted by email only and must be received by us at least 48 hours before arrival time (please check your arrival time on your reservation). In the event of a no-show or late cancellation, the deposit charged to your credit card at the time of booking will not be refunded. This amount will be retained by the hostel as a penalty for not having the correct cancellation notice. There are no exceptions to this rule. 

4.2 Circumstances of force majeure:  Unless otherwise stated, we regret to inform you that we cannot, under any circumstances, assume responsibility or pay any compensation if we are unable to meet our obligations to you or your companions due to causes of “force majeure”. For these purposes, “force majeure” is considered to be any event which our company or any other supplier could not, even with all necessary and due diligence, foresee and/or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity or threat, labor disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, adverse weather conditions, fires and all similar events beyond our control, but this list is not exhaustive.                                                                                               


5. POLICIES APPLIED TO GROUP BOOKINGS (from 10 people):  Tour operators and agencies cannot make reservations through our booking engine. All information displayed on this website and its booking engine is for use by individual clients. For bookings of 10 beds or more, special payment and cancellation conditions will apply. They will have to contact us by email. For more information on the rules for groups (more than 10 people), please contact our groups department by email: groups@hellobcnhostel.com.                                                                                           


6. CHARGES APPLICABLE TO GUESTS: In the event that the client misuses any type of machinery or electrical appliances made available to them for their use and enjoyment during their stay (eg washing machines, dryers, vending machines, hair dryers, hand dryers, refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, etc.), they will be charged the full cost of their repair and any spare parts, or the full cost of the appliance, if it is not possible to repair it. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the facilities. In the event that the client displays inappropriate behavior or impedes normal coexistence with the rest of the clients or is the cause of complaints from the rest of the clients or neighbors in the neighborhood, the company management reserves the right to expel the client from the facility, without any refund of the cost of their stay. The company is not responsible for the loss, damage or theft of valuables belonging to the client on its premises.
